Ontology | A poem

I think this is me –
This skin-sack of organs, blood, bones and limbs
that ebbs and flows in cyclical rhythms
I think this is me.

This skin-sack of organs, blood, bones and limbs
ever-shifting in stature, rolls and grooves
exists in flux as time molds and moves
this skin-sack of organs, blood, bones and limbs.

Ever-shifting in stature, rolls and grooves
I’m unsure of my own ontology
Can my self keep pace with my biology
ever-shifting in stature, rolls and grooves?

I’m unsure of my own ontology.
I think this is me
but when I ask myself what it means to be
I’m unsure of my own ontology.

I think this is me –
This skin-sack of organs, blood, bones and limbs
that ebbs and flows in cyclical rhythms
I think this is me.
